Professional biography

Dr. Rittenbach grew up in Southern Maryland. After college, she settled in Baltimore for several years, first to work as a research technologist at Johns Hopkins University, and then for medical school. Dr. Rittenbach had an early interest in pediatric outpatient care and participated in the first primary care track program at the University of Maryland. She is excited to start her own family in Northern Virginia as part of the Einstein Pediatrics family.

Dr. Rittenbach received additional training in mental health care as a pediatrician through the REACH (resource for advancing children’s health) program.

She also has an interest in Sudden Infant Death prevention, and was part of a quality improvement initiative to improve safe sleep practices for hospitalized infants at Inova Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Rittenbach lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, young daughter, and cat. When not chasing after her baby, she and her husband enjoy hiking through forests, defeating all her opponents in board games, and finding the best ice cream shops in the area (yes, she loves ice cream!).  She has also discovered how awesome community theater can be and you can find her going to plays in Alexandria.

Dr. Rittenbach is excited to welcome you to Einstein Pediatrics as a partner in helping families navigate the twists and turns of parenthood.
