Financial Policies
These policies are intended to keep our office running smoothly and ensure the availability of services when you need them. All patients must complete our patient information forms before seeing the provider. We must obtain a copy of your current, valid insurance card for proof of insurance. If you fail to provide us with the correct insurance information at the time of service, you may be responsible for the balance of your claim.
Missed Appointments (Updated 9/15/22)
If you can not keep your appointment, we ask that you cancel PRIOR to your scheduled appointment to avoid a fee. This allows time for others to take this appointment slot who want it.
- There will be a $25.00 charge for all missed nurse appointments (blood draws, vaccines), not cancelled within 2 hours.
- There will be a $50.00 charge for all missed sick appointments, not cancelled within 2 hours.
- There will be a $100.00 charge for all missed Well Care appointments, not cancelled within 24 "business" hours prior to the appointment. This means a Monday appointment would need to be cancelled by the prior Friday at 5 pm.
After Hours Phone Calls (Updated 9/15/22)
Einstein Pediatrics charges $20.00 for all after-hours phone calls. Both our portal messaging system (for non urgent questions) and phone calls during office hours are free of charge. Our after hours line is answered by trained pediatric nurses who can answer most clinical questions. There is always a provider on call available for emergencies to answer questions that the nurse is unable to answer. As a division of Trusted Doctors we have also partnered with Hello Pediatrics to offer afterhours virtual visits. These visits do incur a normal co-pay at the primary care rate.
Co-Pays (Updated 2/15/23)
Families are expected to present an insurance card at each visit. All co-payments and past-due balances are due and payable at the time of service. Co-pays not paid at the time of service will incur an additional charge of $20.00. Our check-in process on Phreesia will confirm your current balance and the amount of your co-pay.
Forms
There is no charge for forms submitted at the time of the child’s well check appointment. Please plan ahead and have your forms ready at the well check. If forms are requested at other dates necessitating an individual chart review, there is a $10 fee for each form which will be completed in 3-5 business days. If the form is needed same day, there is a $30 rush fee.
Self-Pay Accounts
Self-pay accounts are patients covered by insurance plans in which Einstein Pediatrics does not participate, patients without an insurance card on file, or patients who do not have any insurance coverage. The parents shall pay in full at the time of service.
Records
There is no fee for the transfer of records when a family moves to another practice.
Refills of Medications (Updated 9/15/22)
Medication refills occurring outside of visits will incur a cost of $20.
