Appointments
New Paragraph
Scheduling an Apppointment
All visits are by appointment only.
We are happy to offer visits "virtually" via telehealth that occur from the convenience of your home. These visits are billed to insurance and as such generate a co-pay/coinsurance/deductible if you have one. The patient on virtual visits MUST be in the state of Virginia. These are also scheduled by appointments.
All visits can be scheduled by phone. Well Visits, lactation consults, follow up ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression visits, including virtual, can be set up online through our portal.

Bring to Appointments:
- Insurance card
- Cash, credit card, or check for payment at time of service
- A list of medications and dosages including over the counter medications and vitamins.
- A record of all vaccinations given in past and dates given
- A list of all prior medical problems and surgeries
- A list of questions you would like to discuss at the visit
Visits By Appointment Only
At Einstein, we only offer scheduled appointments to ensure that you and your child get the time you need when you visit. Because we value your time, scheduling appointments also reduces any wait time you might have while in the office.
Patients who walk in with a non-emergency condition will be fit into the existing schedule as best as possible, or they will be asked to return later in the day when the schedule allows.
Well Visits
Well visits or annual check ups can be scheduled through the patient portal online. Alternatively, like problem visits, you can schedule visits by calling our office. If your child is having significant ongoing medical or mental health problems that you would like to discuss during the well visit, please call and let our staff know in advance to ensure the apropriate amount of time is reserved for your family.
Same Day Appointments
We understand the unexpected occurs. We offer same day appointments for those more urgent and stressful situations. Be sure to call into the office as soon as possible. While we ALWAYS have these slots, they are given first come first serve and they do fill up during busy times in the year. The office opens at 7 am and begin filling these same day slots then.
Cancelling Appointments and Missing Appointment Times
We understand that delays happen, especially with children. If you arrive after the start of your scheduled appointment time, we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your child’s visit.
However, because our schedule is carefully planned to allow adequate time for each patient, late arrivals may need to be rescheduled. This may include being seen by a different provider or moving the appointment to a later time or a different day. If we are unable to safely or reasonably fit the visit into the remaining schedule, we may need to reschedule the appointment.
To help us care for all families efficiently, please notify the office as soon as possible if you are unable to keep your appointment. This allows us to offer the time to another patient in need.
Appointments not cancelled within the timeframes below may result in a missed appointment fee:
• Nurse appointments: $25 fee if not cancelled at least 2 hours in advance
• Sick visits: $50 fee if not cancelled at least 4 hours in advance
• Well Care visits: $100 fee if not cancelled at least 24 business hours in advance
o Monday appointments must be cancelled by 5:00 pm on the preceding Friday
We appreciate your understanding and partnership in helping us provide timely, thoughtful care to all of our patients.
